A tandoor is a traditonal clay oven originated in the early times of Northern India. The first 'clay oven' was used at the time of guerilla warfare in India, where starving hidden soldiers would dig a deep hole, and an arrow was used as a skewer on the top of the hole. The hole was ignited, and flames danced upon the fresh meat that would cook to perfection. Today we use that same tradtional approach in our handmade tandoors to cook all the meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables to achieve that same taste, quality, and flavour they had. Bon Appétit!
